United Airlines recently redesigned their flight dispatcher UI in collaboration with their dispatchers and UX research team. The objective was to create a system that showcased real-time data in a comprehensive and actionable way, empowering flight dispatchers to make informed decisions quickly and safely. The UX research process involved conducting user interviews, collecting feedback, and observing daily work processes. Their findings informed the redesign, resulting in a simplified and optimized dispatch system. The updated UI includes customizable display options, streamlined workflows, and intuitive data visualizations, allowing dispatchers to quickly and easily locate and interpret critical information. The success of the redesign has resulted in increased efficiency and productivity, providing a safer and more efficient travel experience for United Airlines customers.
